What do porta potty renters actually order?

Most porta potty renters order one unit for a private event. Of 26 calls, 19 (73%) were events and parties, 4 were construction or home remodels, 2 were pump-out requests, and 1 was an emergency shelter. 14 of the 19 event callers wanted a single unit.

What questions do renters ask most?

Renters ask most about timing and total cost. The repeated questions were whether rentals are priced by the day (3 calls), whether delivery and pickup are included, whether a two-week job pays for a full month (2 calls), what time the driver will arrive, and whether a unit has a sink.

How urgent are most requests?

Many requests are urgent. 8 of 26 callers (31%) needed delivery the same day or the next morning — often because another vendor cancelled, a driver had an accident, or a supplier never showed. Holiday weekends, especially Labor Day, were the hardest dates to fill.

That's why we take same-day orders by phone and quote the rush fee up front. See how same-day delivery works.

Why do bookings fall through?

Bookings fall through mostly over price on last-minute orders. 5 of 26 calls ended without a booking because of cost, and most were rush or next-morning requests with emergency fees. The rest ended because the caller needed to check with a spouse, boss, or property owner first.

  • Rush fees on same-day or next-morning orders
  • Comparing per-day expectations to per-event pricing
  • Waiting for a boss or property owner to approve
  • Holiday weekends with no trucks left

What site details do drivers need?

Drivers need placement and access details that callers rarely volunteer: low-hanging cable lines, dogs and electric fences, dirt drives, creeks and narrow bridges, gate codes, shade, and a second contact. In our sample, every booked call that went smoothly included at least the placement spot and a reachable contact.

  • Low internet cable slung across the road
  • German Shepherd behind an electric fence
  • Dirt drive to a pole barn and bonfire area
  • Party across a creek, unit by the trees near a bridge
  • Shaded spot until 4–5 PM in Texas heat
  • City street vs private property question

What did we change because of these calls?

Because of these calls, we made four changes: weekend events are one package (drop Friday, pick up Monday), every quote says whether delivery and pickup are included, long-term quotes state the 28-day cycle up front, and every booking includes an access checklist for wires, gates, pets, and placement.

Methodology: 26 recorded calls from 2026 were reviewed by our team. Names, phone numbers, emails, card details, and addresses were removed before counting. Categories were assigned by the primary request in each call. Percentages are rounded.

These questions come straight from real rental calls. Each answer starts with the short version, then the conditions that change it.

Do you rent porta potties by the day?

No. Event units are priced per event, not per day. Keeping the unit one day or five days costs the same, because the cost is mostly delivery, cleaning, and pickup. That's why we drop off Friday and pick up Monday for weekend parties at no extra charge.

Does the price include delivery and pickup?

Yes for event and weekend packages: delivery, pickup, and a clean, stocked unit are included. Long-term construction rentals add a one-time delivery fee from $49 and a pickup fee from $29, because the 28-day rate covers weekly servicing instead of transport.

If I only need it for two weeks, do I pay for a full month?

Yes, construction and remodel units bill in 28-day cycles, so a two-week job pays one cycle. One cycle at $199 is usually cheaper than two weekly rentals, because weekly rates carry more delivery cost. Call for pickup any time and billing stops at the end of that cycle.

What time will the driver show up?

Deliveries run in an 8 AM–5 PM window. You can ask for morning or afternoon, and the driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving. We can't promise an exact minute, which is why event units go out the day before your event.

What if I have low wires, a gate code, or tight access?

Tell us when you book. Low-hanging cable or power lines, gate codes, tight side yards, and parked cars all go in the driver's notes. One caller had an internet cable slung across the road — the driver called ahead and came in from the other side.

I was quoted earlier and got disconnected. Will you honor that price?

Yes. Quotes from our team are good for 7 days. Call back, give the name and address you used, and we'll pull the quote up. Because prices can shift on holiday weekends, rebook quickly if your date is close.
