What is a standard porta potty?

A standard porta potty is a single-user portable toilet with a 60-gallon holding tank, a urinal, a toilet seat, toilet paper, and a hand-sanitizer dispenser. It doesn't need water or power. Standard units are the workhorse for Galveston jobsites, fishing tournaments, backyard parties, and family reunions.

What does our standard porta potty look like?

These are real photos of our standard porta potty setups: outside, inside, and placed on site. Every unit is pumped, pressure-washed, sanitized and restocked before delivery, and event units come from a separate fleet from jobsite units, so what you see here is what arrives.

Will a standard porta potty fit through my gate?

A standard porta potty is 43.5 inches wide, so it fits through a gate at least 48 inches wide. Our crew prefers 60 inches so two people can walk it through upright. If your side gate is narrower, we place it in the driveway or front yard instead.

When is a standard unit the wrong choice?

A standard porta potty is the wrong choice when guests expect to wash their hands with water, when the event is a wedding or formal party, or when a guest uses a wheelchair. In those cases, pick a deluxe flushing unit, add a handwashing station, or rent a wheelchair-accessible unit.

How often is a standard porta potty serviced?

Standard porta potties on jobsites and long rentals are serviced once a week. Each service pumps the tank, disinfects the interior, deodorizes, and restocks toilet paper and sanitizer. One unit handles about 10 workers on a 40-hour week (PSAI); busier sites get twice-weekly service.

From our call log

Two remodel callers asked the same thing: "Do I pay for a full month if I only need two weeks?" Yes — one 28-day cycle with four weekly services is cheaper than two weekly rentals, which each carry their own delivery cost.

Questions renters ask us before booking

These questions come straight from real rental calls. Each answer starts with the short version, then the conditions that change it.

How much does it cost to rent a porta potty in Galveston?

A standard event porta potty starts at $249 for a weekend package, delivery and pickup included. A deluxe flushing unit with a sink starts at $286. Construction units start at $199 per 28-day cycle with weekly service. A $34.95 fuel surcharge and tax apply. Your quote lists every line.

Do you rent porta potties by the day?

No. Event units are priced per event, not per day. Keeping the unit one day or five days costs the same, because the cost is mostly delivery, cleaning, and pickup. That's why we drop off Friday and pick up Monday for weekend parties at no extra charge.

Do units come with toilet paper?

Yes. Every unit arrives pumped, sanitized, and stocked with toilet paper. Standard units have hand sanitizer. Deluxe units and hand-wash stations have soap and paper towels. Long-term units are restocked at every weekly service.

How many people can use one porta potty?

One standard porta potty serves about 50 guests for an event up to 4 hours. PSAI rates a unit at about 200 uses between services. Add units for longer events, alcohol, or mostly female crowds, or add a mid-event service visit.

Is one porta potty enough for 30 guests?

Yes, for up to 4 hours. One standard unit covers 30 guests for a party or reunion of that length, especially when your house bathroom is open too. For an all-day or overnight event, add a second unit or a mid-event service. Pick a deluxe unit if food is served buffet-style.

Where's the best place to put a porta potty?

Pick a level, firm spot within about 10 feet of where the service truck can park. Keep it 20+ feet from food, in shade if you can, and downwind of seating. On the island, avoid low spots that hold water after a storm and keep units out of dune vegetation.

Can I move the unit myself after it's delivered?

Please don't. A full unit can tip, leak, or crack when moved with a tractor, dolly, or truck. You're responsible for damage once it's on site. If the spot doesn't work, call us and the driver can reposition it on the next service or for a small trip fee.

How often are porta potties cleaned?

Long-term and construction units are serviced once a week. Each visit includes pumping, disinfecting, deodorizing, and restocking. Event units arrive clean and stocked. Multi-day events can add a mid-event service, like a Saturday-night clean between festival days.
