How many restrooms does a Galveston wedding need?

A 150-guest, 5-hour Galveston wedding with a bar needs 5 standard or deluxe units, or one 2-station restroom trailer plus 1 deluxe unit. The math: 150 ÷ 50 = 3 units, plus 1 for the 5-hour length, plus 1 for alcohol. Weddings with 100 guests or fewer usually need 2–3 deluxe units.

From our sizing method: 1 per 50 guests for 4 hours, +1 per 4 for longer events, +~15% with alcohol.

What do our wedding restrooms setups look like?

These are real photos of units we set for wedding restrooms jobs: how they're placed, what's inside, and how they arrive. Every unit is pumped, pressure-washed, sanitized and restocked before delivery, so the unit on your site looks like the ones here.

Can I have a porta potty at a Galveston beach wedding?

Yes, a Galveston beach wedding can have porta potties, placed at the nearest vehicle access point because vehicles are restricted on Park Board beaches. East Beach has no indoor restrooms, so rented units are essential there. Weddings on Park Board beaches need a Park Board permit; we coordinate the spot with the events office.

Park Board special events information: galvestonparkboard.org. For West End beach-house weddings, deluxe units on the driveway or under-house parking pad are the simplest setup. See Galveston event restroom permits.

Deluxe porta potties or a restroom trailer for my wedding?

Choose deluxe porta potties for weddings under 100 guests, beach sites, and venues without power. Choose a restroom trailer for 100+ guests, formal dress, and venues with a 110–120V outlet and a garden hose. Trailers bring air conditioning, which matters at Galveston's 91–92°F summer highs.

When should I book wedding restrooms?

Book wedding restrooms 4–8 weeks before the date, and 3+ months ahead for trailers on spring and fall Saturdays. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before delivery, so reserving early carries no risk. Units arrive the day before so the venue is ready for vendors and the rehearsal.

From our call log

An engagement-party host booked one deluxe unit and asked, "So it has a sink inside?" Yes — fresh water, soap, and paper towels, no hookup. She also added a second contact at the house where it was going, so the driver called the right person.

From real customer calls

Questions renters ask us before booking

These questions come straight from real rental calls. Each answer starts with the short version, then the conditions that change it.

Does the deluxe unit need plumbing or a hose?

No. The deluxe flushing unit carries its own fresh water for the flush and the sink, so nothing hooks up. It's fully stocked with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Our drivers plan on about 150 flushes before the next service, and the built-in urinal stretches that.

Does a restroom trailer need water and electricity?

Yes. A restroom trailer needs one 110–120V outlet on a 20–30 amp circuit and, for most models, a garden hose. Trailers also need level ground and truck access. Without power and water, choose deluxe flushing units instead.

How many guests does a 2-station restroom trailer serve?

A 2-station restroom trailer serves roughly 150–250 guests for a 4–6 hour event. The trailer's waste tank, around 275–350 gallons, sets the limit. Weddings over 200 guests usually step up to a 3- or 4-station trailer or add a deluxe unit.

Can you put a porta potty on the beach?

Sometimes, with permission. Beach events on Park Board beaches need a Park Board permit, and vehicles are restricted on the sand, so we usually set units at the nearest vehicle access point. East Beach has no indoor restrooms, which makes a rented unit the only option for guests.

My event starts at 6 PM. Will it be there in time?

Yes. Drivers don't deliver after 5 PM, so evening events get their unit the day before or that morning. For a 6:30 PM event, booking a day-early drop-off removes all the timing risk at the same price.

Can someone else be the contact for delivery?

Yes. Add a second contact — the host, the homeowner, or the site super. The driver calls that person on the way. This helps when the unit goes to a different house than the person paying, which happens often with family parties and weddings.

Are your event units clean, or are they beat-up construction units?

Event orders get units from our event fleet, not jobsite units. Each one is pressure-washed, sanitized, deodorized, and inspected before it leaves the yard. If a unit shows up in a condition you wouldn't use, call us and we swap it.

Can I cancel my porta potty rental?

Yes. Cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled delivery for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, the delivery fee may apply because the truck is already routed. Weather happens — call and we'll move your date instead of cancelling.
