When is hurricane season in Galveston?

Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30 and peaks around September 10, with most activity from mid-August to mid-October, according to NOAA's National Hurricane Center. Galveston rentals booked in that window come with storm-rescheduling at no charge.

What happens to my rented porta potty when a storm is coming?

When a tropical storm or hurricane is forecast for Galveston, we call renters with exposed units, then strap, relocate, or pull units from beachfront, seawall, and open West End sites. Service pauses while the causeway or roads are restricted. Events in the storm window are rescheduled at no charge.

  1. Storm forecast: we contact renters at exposed sites.
  2. Units are strapped to fixed points or pulled.
  3. Service pauses during restrictions; billing for missed services is credited.
  4. After the storm: units are inspected, re-set, and serviced.

What should I do with a unit on my property before a storm?

Before a storm, tell us whether you're evacuating, clear the path so the truck can reach the unit, and don't tie it to your house or deck. If you're staying, keep the door latched and the unit on the ground side away from the Gulf. Never lay a unit down — it leaks.

  • Call or text us your plan
  • Clear driveway access
  • Don't strap it to your house
  • Keep the door latched
  • Report damage after the storm with a photo

How do porta potties help after a storm?

After a storm, porta potties keep homes and jobsites usable when plumbing or sewer service is down, and they support recovery crews, shelters, and distribution points. Shelters need about 1 toilet per 20 residents plus handwashing stations. We prioritize emergency managers, shelters, and homes without working plumbing.

From our call log

An emergency-management caller sourcing restroom trailers for about 460 evacuees estimated 1 bathroom per 75 people. For round-the-clock shelter use, we plan closer to 1 per 20 — about 23 toilets for that shelter.

What happens if a hurricane or tropical storm is coming?

Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. When a storm threatens Galveston, we secure units, pull units from exposed beachfront spots, and reschedule events at no charge. After the storm, we prioritize recovery crews, shelters, and homes without working plumbing.

Can you supply restroom trailers and hand-wash stations for an emergency shelter?

Yes. Emergency managers, churches, and shelters can order restroom trailers, porta potties, and hand-wash stations. For a shelter, plan on about 1 toilet per 20 residents and a hand-wash station per cluster. Call — emergency orders are dispatched first.

I'm remodeling my house with no water. Do I need a contractor account?

No. Homeowners book the same 28-day construction rate as contractors, with weekly service included. Bathroom remodels, foundation work, and post-storm repairs are common reasons. We place it on your property so the crew never needs your house bathroom.

Can I cancel my porta potty rental?

Yes. Cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled delivery for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, the delivery fee may apply because the truck is already routed. Weather happens — call and we'll move your date instead of cancelling.
